Playa Serena Golf Club

Established in 1979, Playa Serena Golf Club has excellent, entirely renovated facilities and a well cared for 18-hole golf course. The clubhouse is characterised by its high ceilings, open spaces and amazing views to the sea, the golf course and Sierra Nevada. Surrounded by the practice area and the nearby tees of Holes 1 and 10, the Club House hosts the changing rooms, a restaurant, the social lounges, a shop, the golf club room and the club’s general services offices.

The Course

Playa Serena was founded in 1979 and designed by Angel Gallardo and Peter Alliss.The course has a flat character as it is located straight at the beach approximately 5 kilometres west of Roquetas de Mar. The 18-hole course is kept in excellent condition all year round. It is characterised by wide fairways, 9 lakes and greens defended by bunkers of impeccable design. The course has been cataloqued as the flattest in Spain. Its round is very pleasant, with the major difficulties being the long holes and the design of the greens. The course is sufficiently difficult to hold competitors and has, amongst other events, hosted several national circuit events.

The Birds

Playa Serena Golf Club is considered to be one of the courses with the widest variety of wild birds. The ecosystem created by the golf course and its lakes offers perfect conditions for species of high ecological value to settle. While playing a round, golfers can appreciate an amazing array of wild birds.

Club Rules

All players must observe the local golf rules and regulations, the club etiquette and dress code. Dress code: No jeans, tracksuits or lycra garments. No entry in swimsuits. No shoes with metal spikes.
