Mijas Golf - Los Lagos Course

During the last decades, Mijas Golf has become one of the most popular golf complexes in Europe, known by the outstanding condition of their courses and the friendly atmosphere and excellent service provided to the clients.

The two courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos, are situated in the valley of Mijas, north of Fuengirola, only twenty minutes from the Málaga international airport and Marbella, and 3.5 kms. from the sea.

Los Lagos was the first course to be constructed, with its 6,367 metres, this course is the longer of the two which comprise of Mijas Golf. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, Los Lagos is a ground course with wide fairways and a few forest trees obstacles, but is defended by many bunkers and nine lakes, from which the course gets its name and which easily trap the ball. It is a course with soft movement and large greens. It could be said that the American designer wanted to present a course especially for amateurs, but at the same time, it can present a challenge for the best players.

Both courses pay homage to the architect's philosophy "difficult Par, easy Bogey" -, with very little rough, plenty of water and relatively flat.

 The Mijas Golf Shop can be found situated in the main building next to the Golf Reception. In it, you can find all types of equipment and accessories with which to practise golf. As well as this, our two golf professionals are at your service to help everyone who is interested in this marvellous sport.

The Club House is an old Andalusian cortijo (farmhouse), and beside it, one can feel the continual buzz on the terraces of the Restaurant, where the variety of our clientele can be noticed; Mijas Golf has managed to mix, with success, the residents of the area with visitors from all over the world.
