Isla Canela Golf | ![]() |
Isla Canela Golf Course is situated on a nature reserve where the Guadiana River meets the stunning coastline of the Atlantic Ocean, perfectly located for golfing all year round.
The 18-hole par 72 course was designed by Juan Catarineu in 1993. Isla Canala is a challenging course with small slopes form by the natural dunes. The cours's natural design, free from artificial elements, was adapted to the original topography of the terrain. The result is a versatile course with spacious teeing areas.
The design of the holes combines precision, strength and dexterity in their proper proportions. It is designed to "make players think" and in many cases "challenges" the golfer. With water featuring on 10 holes and orange, olive and eucalyptus trees situated at strategic points Isla Canela is a worthy test for all handicap levels. It can go from being an easy and relatively comfortable round for average players, to quite a complex one for competitions of high level players and professionals.
Isla Canela Golf offers the following other facilities: a driving range, a putting and chipping green, golf lessons, a fully equipped Pro Shop, clubs, electric buggies and trolleys for hire, showers and lockers.
The stylish Clubhouse built using local stone provides the perfect setting for a relaxing drink. The clubhouse is open throughout the year, providing a bar and a la carte restaurant.
