Finca Cortesin Golf Club

Measuring almost 7,000 meters from the back tees with over 100 bunkers, Finca Cortesin Golf Club is one the longest golf courses in Europe and a favourite for big hitters. The natural environment and landscape are one of its most attractive features. Despite its length, this is a course that can accommodate every level of player. With a climate that allows year round play it was designed to be in full harmony with nature and the environment.

Designed by Cabell Robinson and landscaped by Herald Hurgan it embodies all the natural character they found here, and make it one of the finest golf course in Spain. A perfect balance between over 20 varieties of flora, the Mediterranean forest and the well manicured turf. Players have magnificent views of both mountains and the sea. It’s a highly enjoyable course for beginners and can be serious challenge for pros.

Par 72 and almost 7000 meters length provide a perfect championship course. It has several tee boxes on each hole, keeping the difficulty level of the course in balance and let players handle the course at a far more manageable 5,200 meters, or 4,840 meters for the ladies.  Whether a pro or a beginner, this is a course where serious players at every level can find themselves. Well manicured fairways provide a unique and highly aesthetic natural setting to play at your best. When you finished playing all 18 holes, you’ll notice that you have used all your clubs.

Rules of Etiquette

Our goal is to provide superior service to our members and guests, that’s why we strictly enforce the following basic Rules of Etiquette at our golf club:

Play on the Course

It is mandatory to be in possession of an official Spanish Federation Handicap card of it’s equivalent from your country of origin.

Handicap limitation

The maximum handicap permitted at Finca Cortesin is 32 fon men and 36 for ladies. All players that are unable to keep normal speed of play or interfere with other players will be asked by the Manager to speed up or let the group behind through.

Tee times

There is a strict 10 minutes interval between tee times. The first group will go off at o830 am; the last tee time will depend on the time of the year. Groups must be formed by 3 or 4 players; all pairs or individual bookings will be reallocated with players of the same handicap to complete the foursome.

Children on the golf course

It is mandatory that all children under the age of 14 play with at least one adult.

Cell phones

Finca Cortesin is a mobile telephone free environment. Please turn off your cell phone when you visit our amenities and play the golf course.

Golf carts

Instructions from the staff must be followed. Carts may only be driven on designated areas. It is strictly forbidden to access the surrounding areas of the green or the tee with a golf cart.

Metal spikes

The use of non-soft spikes is not permitted at Finca Cortesin. We have soft spikes available at our pro-shop.

Dress code

It must be in full harmony with the game of golf. The use of T-shirts, jeans, athletic apparel, non collared shirts or bathing suits is forbidden. The use of tennis shoes or non appropriate footwear is also prohibited.
